Jessica Biel Shares a Look Inside 'What Really Happens on Met Monday' After Viral Epsom Salt Bath

Jessica Biel shares her secrets on how she prepared for the 2024 Met Gala!

After fashion’s biggest night, the 42-year-old actress released a behind-the-scenes look to show fans what’s behind the glitz and glamor for the annual event at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

“Hey guys,” she said while taking a bite of food in a selfie clip that was shared on TikTok on Wednesday, May 8. “I was supposed to dress up for the Met, but I had to eat something.”

“She was hiding in the corner of my room” as members of her glamor crew frantically tried to make sure she was dressed and on time, Biel explained.

“Everybody’s like, knocking on the door, ‘You’ve got to get dressed!'” Biel said before taking a break to munch on her fast food.

“I’m just trying to tell you, bite first, eat first!” she continued.

The Candy the alum then turned the camera away from her to show her hotel room, where her pink flowered dress and arm blanket could be seen hanging by the window and draped over the bed.

“What REALLY happens at Met Monday 👀,” was the caption on her TikTok.

“Yum! Okay, now I’m going to get dressed,” Biel said before ending her video.

A day earlier, on Tuesday May 7, the actress went viral for another TikTok video in which she revealed that she bathed in 20 kg. Epsom salts for 30 minutes in hot water to get into her Met Gala dress.

“Really,” she said in the video as she showed her pouring salt into the bath.

The theme for the 2024 Met Gala was “Sleeping Beauties: The Reawakening of Fashion” and the dress code was “The Garden of Time.”

It was Biel’s first time attending the gala in just over a decade.

She wore a black Giambattista Valli macrame and tulle dress with matching pants and patent leather loafers when she walked the carpet in 2013. That year’s theme was “PUNK: Chaos to Fashion.”

A year before, she left with her then-fiancé, Justin Timberlake. The couple married in Italy five months later, in October 2012. Biel and Timberlake have two sons, Phineas, 3½, and Silas, 8½.

Timberlake, 43, is currently on his Forget Tomorrow World Tour after a five-year hiatus.
