Jimmy Butler’s Southern California home is designed to feel like he’s always on vacation!
The Miami Heat forward, 35, opened the doors to his sprawling abode outside San Diego during a video tour of space with Architectural Digest. Butler enlisted HGTV’s Tiffany Brooks to realize his larger-than-life vision for his home—and the end results did not disappoint.
During the tour, the NBA star brings viewers into his expansive wine cellar, which boasts 20,000 bottles of wine. He explains that this beloved room in the house might not exist if it weren’t for his old friend Mark Wahlberg. After showing his “favorite” Sassicaia wine, he recalls how the actor first met him many years ago.

“Mark Wahlberg was in town for a shoot in 2013 transformersand when we got to his trailer he said, ‘Hey, do you drink wine?’ I said, ‘No,’ and then the guy next to me said, ‘Yeah, you have. Don’t tell Mark Wahlberg you don’t drink wine.’ ”
Butler continues, “[Wahlberg] released a bottle of 2010 Sassicaia, which is probably the wine I have the most collection of.”

As if a fully stocked wine cellar wasn’t impressive enough, the basketball pro also has an entire cafe in his home called BIGFACE in honor of his lifestyle brand he launched in 2021.
The space boasts a large tree in the center of the room surrounded by multiple tables where he and his neighbors can chat over a cup of coffee, he says.
“This is my place. This is the first BIGFACE coffee shop here in my home,” notes Butler. “After basketball, this is what I want to do. Coffee is like wine in the sense that you can never know everything about it. But more than anything, you get to sit with people you don’t see every day. And that has always been my dream. Just chill, drink coffee and talk to some really cool people.”
Along with outdoor seating, Butler’s in-house cafe features a custom espresso machine from Italy.

Butler opens up about how his home has everything he never had growing up in Tomball, Texas, and how it allows him to relax while keeping it in line with his daily routine.
“I can’t be serious all day, I need balance,” he says. “This home has it all, that’s why I call it a resort.”
