Jimmy Fallon is about to turn 50!
The talk show host, 49, shared during a guest appearance on Today with Hoda and Jenna that he had already started preparing for his birthday by starting to wake up “at the crack of dawn”.
“It’s my new thing,” he explained. “I don’t have time during the day to exercise or anything, so you just have to make time.”
Although Fallon’s birthday isn’t until September, he has adopted the habit of waking up early with the help of Hatch’s alarm clock.
“Yeah, it’s like a false light that kind of becomes a sunrise,” he told hosts Hodi Kotb and Jenni Bush Hager.

“I don’t know if my wife enjoys it, but the whole room is lit up. At the end, it’s like a police officer shining a flashlight in your eyes,” Fallon continued. “You say: ‘Ahh license and registration!’ That’s how you wake up in the morning.”
The Tonight’s show The host said he then goes to his treadmill, “which is covered in clothes.”
“And then you look at it and you’re like, ‘Oh, that’s interesting,'” he joked. Kotb, 59, and Bush Hagger, 42, couldn’t help but ask, “What’s going on?” after Fallon said his morning routine also includes taking his blood pressure.
The late-night talk show host laughed and said: “Is it a midlife crisis? I think that’s what you do when you’re almost 50.” Kotb, who turns 60 in August, had some words of encouragement.
“By the way, Jimmy, I’m just here to tell you, 50? That whole decade? It’s going to be the best decade of your life,” she said.

“I’ll tell you something; these decades, I’m so shocked,” Kotb added later. “If someone told me my 50s would be my favorite decade? I’m dying for my 60s. Everyone I meet is worse.”
After Fallon said he was enjoying his 40s, Bush Hagger agreed, prompting Kotb to quip, “Forget it; it’s over.”
“So, my 10 years in Tonight’s show doesn’t mean anything,” Fallon joked.”[It] means nothing! I’m rebooting!”
