Jimmy Johnson, a longtime Fox sports commentator, retires.
While he was A flock with Colin Cowherd On Monday, March 3, a former football coach shared his “difficult decision” to withdraw from the net. The analyst and former coach, 81, joined Fox for the first time in 1994, when Fox NFL first made his debut on Sunday.
“I’ve been thinking about it for the last four or five years and I decided to retire from Fox,” Johnson split. “Probably the most fun thing I have ever had in my career – and that is the counting of Super Bowl and the national championship – it was in Fox Sports.”
“I will miss. I will miss all the guys,” he continued. “I’ll see them occasionally.”

Johnson’s “Great Running Starting 31 years ago” followed his success as a football coach, for Dallas Cowboys, which brought to two consecutive Victory of Super Bowl. (He is one of only six major coaches who achieved that feat in the history of NFL.) He was also the coach of the Football Faculty of Miami Hurricanes, who secured the title of national championship in the football championship in 1987.
In 1996. Johnson briefly left Fox Sports for the position of main coach with Miami Dolphins, eventually returned to the network in 2002. In 2020. Johnson was introduced into a hundred -year -old Pro Football Hall of Fame class.
The retirement analyst worked with Fox Sports Curt Menefee, Terry Bradshaw, Howie Long and Michael Strahan together with the long -standing figures of Fox Sports Curts.

Eric Shanks, the Fox Sports CEO gave Johnson Sweet Sundoff in a statement divided into X. “Jimmy served as an inspiration for generations of football fans with his legendary Swagger, a unique insight and signature of Humlour. From motivating conversations about his untreated energy during our coach.”
He added, “The coach will honestly miss and we wish him the best while he sails into his retirement, as only Jimmy Johnson can.”
Strahan, 53, also responded to the news of his former colleague’s retirement. “Congratulations on the retirement @immyjohnson! It has been 17 seasons of fun and laughter sitting next to you. You really are one kind and thank you for you and gave me one of the best friendships that everyone can ever ask for. I hope you enjoy fishing and beer drinks on board. He posted on X.
