Nickelodeon has always been one of the main networks to supply shows for children and it’s no surprise that they’ve compiled a grand resume of stellar series that everyone (children and adults) have come to love. However, with so many great projects produced over the years, it’s only natural that a few shows didn’t quite get the credit they were due – The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron was such a show.
Incredibly underrated (and perhaps a bit ahead of its time) the series follows a 10-year-old Boy Genius who could invent anything and was constantly dragging his friends on adventures throughout the galaxy was really just an adolescent version of Rick & Morty. Despite the show only running for three seasons, fans got a plethora of characters to enjoy – and whichever one is your favorite says more than you may think.
Miss Fowl
Let’s face it – it can’t be easy for anybody to have to teach a 10-year-old that’s smarter than they are. Alas, this was Miss Fowl’s fate as she routinely had to put up with Jimmy’s over-the-top science fair experiments and wacky show-and-tell inventions, yet she still never refused to stop teaching.
If Miss Fowl is your favorite character, you could be a person who understands the daily struggles that teachers have to face or perhaps you’re empathetic to the situation of being undermined by somebody in a lesser station.
Bolbi Strogonovsky
While certainly not a main character, Bolbi was quite the hysterical addition to a show that already had an odd character in Sheen. Bolbi quickly made a name for himself as a new foreign-exchange student who didn’t quite understand English or American customs, often resulting in a complete misread of situations
If Bolbi is your favorite character, it’s possible you’re a person who has also had the experience of traveling to a new land and not quite knowing how you fit into your new society right away.
Judy Neutron
Jimmy had to have received his genius genes from one of his parents (and it certainly wasn’t his Dad), so the safe bet is that Judy was the one Jimmy got his brains from. While working as a stay-at-home Mom, anytime Judy got wrapped up in one of Jimmy’s adventures she was usually the one to save the day whenever Jimmy couldn’t figure out a solution.
If Judy is your favorite character, you could be a person who (underneath it all) has the brains and the abilities that could match a superhero, yet you’re also a person who is just as comfortable staying home and making yourself dinner.
Hugh Neutron
As stated, Jimmy’s Dad wasn’t exactly the brightest bulb in the chandelier. Nevertheless, that didn’t stop him from being an incredibly supportive and hands-on parent, always there to help Jimmy with any problems he had or experiments he was working on (even if that meant having no clue what was going on).
If Hugh is your favorite character, it’s probable you’re a person who realizes that nobody has perfect parents and they all make mistakes sometimes, but you’re also mature enough to recognize that Hugh does the most important thing a parent can do – always be there.
Goddard
How could anybody possibly improve man’s best friend? Jimmy Neutron could, and he did by creating Goddard, his awesome robotic-canine-companion who accompanied him on all of his adventures and contained just about every invention/gadget that one could think of, often helping Jimmy and his friends out of tight spots (and always giving great advice after the third try).
If Goddard is your favorite character, you’re probably a person who adores animals of all shapes, sizes, and species, regardless of whether or not they’re made out of metal.
Libby Folfax
Libby was always a fun character to watch as it was a complete toss-up to whether or not she and Cindy would decide to help Jimmy and his friends on whatever adventure they got dragged along on. As the series went on, she and Sheen developed a bit of a relationship that made things even more interesting as Libby would sometimes be torn between Cindy and Sheen.
If Libby is your favorite character, there’s a chance you’ve got a bit of a spunkiness to your personality which results in you speaking your mind and choosing your own path, but make no mistake that once you pick a path you’re incredibly loyal to whichever route you chose.
Cindy Vortex
Everybody needs a little competition in their lives, even a boy genius – enter Cindy Vortex. Cindy was always a fun character to watch on screen as she inevitably brought tension and hilarious insults with her, but the core of her character had one main goal – defeat Neutron and prove that she was just as smart as he was.
If Cindy is your favorite character, you could be a person who suffers from envy or jealousy from time-to-time, not out of selfishness but simply because your own significant accomplishments might be constantly overlooked/overshadowed.
Carl Wheezer
Carl was one of the nicest, most innocent characters that has ever been concocted for television, always tagging along and hanging out with Jimmy regardless of the fact that it often led to Carl getting either experimented on or attacked by an evil villain that was trying to get to Jimmy.
If Carl is your favorite character, chances are you’re the type of person who remains by your friend’s side no matter what, even if you don’t fully understand their motives or what’s going on half the time. Make no mistake, your friends love you for it.
Sheen Estevez
There haven’t been many television characters that were kookier than Sheen. While Carl may have joined in on Jimmy’s adventures out of loyalty, Sheen seemed to do it just to see what odd/weird/painful thing would happen to him, knowing full well that crazy stuff was bound to happen around Jimmy.
If Sheen is your favorite character, it’s probable you’re a naturally curious person and are fully aware that the world is full of dangerous things that could harm you. So, rather than try to avoid said dangerous things, you seek them outright and face them head-on (whether that’s in your best interest is still debatable).
Jimmy Neutron
Jimmy Neutron – boy genius. The kid with the cranium the size of Saturn had been making inventions that were putting the world’s best scientists to shame before he had even reached puberty, designing and creating an assortment of toys/tools/weapons that would almost always ultimately end up backfiring on him in one way or another.
With Jimmy as your favorite character, you’re likely a person who simply appreciated the creativity and imagination behind all of Jimmy’s experiments (despite their usual catastrophic outcomes) and enjoyed daydreaming about having and creating such inventions for yourself.
