Joanna was now over 35 to consider building a career around accessories. She has elevated the gemstones on Da Beers’ esteemed list to the top of the sales force thanks to her gemstone expertise.
From Geneva, New York and London, Tough worked at Philips as a salesperson in Antwerp and at various trim exchanges around the world. She is the renowned author of the Collect Contemporary Jewellery, Emerald and Ruby books, as well as being an expert in gemstones.
Sapphire: A Celebration of Colour, her latest book, is published in 2021. The BBC’s Antiques Roadshow jewelery expert is happily married to her partner.
