THREE of This Morning’s most popular stars who were “put away” by outgoing boss Martin Frizell could make a sensational comeback.
Amanda Holden, Rylan Clark and Ruth Langsford are favorites to return to the sofa in some capacity as the new boss to replace Martin is rumored to be secretly planning a major shake-up of the show.

Insiders say his expected promotion means Rylan could return with a regular spot – alongside Amanda and Ruth, for the first time since their fall out with former host Phillip Schofield.
A source told The Sun: “Despite being axed from the show by Phillip and Martin, Rylan, Amanda and Ruth are still incredibly popular on ITV.
“They are all extremely successful and experienced presenters and the viewers have always loved them – they are also Vivek’s great favourites.
“It wouldn’t surprise anyone if the three of them returned to the This Morning studio when Martin left – they shouldn’t have left in the first place.

“The fans will be thrilled if they come back.”
Despite Amanda’s strong ratings while on the ITV show, plans for her to take over from Holly Willoughby while she hosted I’m A Celebrity in 2018 were scuppered by then-host Phillip.
He demanded that Amanda be passed over as host in favor of his first choice, Rochelle Humes.
Amanda went on to celebrate great success in her new job building the UK’s biggest commercial radio breakfast show at Heart and has not returned to This Morning since the break.
Meanwhile, Phil has been sacked amid furore over an “indiscreet but not illegal” affair with a young runner on This Morning.
Although ITV is externally advertising the £155,000-a-year role, current associate editor Vivek Sharma is making big announcements about landing the biggest job in television.

This Morning’s ratings fell to less than 700,000 viewers in September under new presenting duo Ben Shepherd and Cat Deeley.
Heart Breakfast with Jamie Theakston and Amanda Holden has 4.2 million listeners a week – and it’s hoped that Amanda’s return to This Morning could provide the boost the show needs.
Loose Women presenter Ruth was axed along with her husband Eamonn Holmes in 2020 in favor of Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary, who took over Fridays.
Schofe interrupted Ruth, 64, while she was in the middle of a live relationship, teasing what’s in store on Loose Women.
The incident eventually led to Ruth complaining about his behavior to ITV.
She was sacked the following year along with a furious Eamonn whose long feud with Phil was branded “the ****iest, meanest outburst in showbiz”.
Ruth and Eamonn’s close friend Rylan found himself booted from This Morning for siding with his TV “mum and dad” rather than Phillip.
He only recently returned as a guest host after Phil long since departed the ITV show.

The feud tarnished the brand
ALL good things must come to an end – and after 10 years, and a particularly turbulent past 18 months – the end was near for Martin Frizell.
Lively, passionate, talented and combative, he is one of the last editors of the old school.
But under his helm, the myth of the comfortable world of daytime television was shattered. There’s no doubt that Holly and Phillip’s toxic feud tarnished the brand – and their ghost haunts This Morning to this day.
Just a few weeks ago, the Ghost of Schofield’s past came back to haunt Martin, over a campfire in Madagascar.
Frizell – whose charity campaigns are to be commended – can be proud of his legacy. But big changes are certainly coming to Ovo jutro.
Fiery editor Martin, 65, announced his departure yesterday in an internal email to his staff – minutes before the official announcement by broadcaster bosses.
He will use the time away from London’s White City to spend more time with his wife, former GMTV presenter Fiona Phillips, who will be diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease in 2022.
This Morning has never truly recovered from Holly and Phil’s departure, suffering two years of tumultuous toxicity.
Phillip and Martin – who had an “extremely close” relationship – had a spectacular falling out after Queuegate.
Martin ordered Holly and Phillip to “skip” the huge queues to see the late Queen lie in honour.
The public mocked Holly and Phillip online with countless memes, claiming their actions were disrespectful.
Martin didn’t own up to his mistake and let the pair take the fire – something the former Dancing on Ice host was extremely passionate about.
Phillip recently blasted Martin as a “s***” when he opened up about his sacking while trying to survive on a desert island for the Channel 5 show.
Announcing his departure in a statement, Martin said: “Next year I expect my family’s priorities to change so I need to make time for them.
“I love my team at ITV and will miss them and the excitement of live television, but it’s an always on, 24/7 commitment and I won’t be able to do both.
“It was a privilege to lead really great presenters and producers, between us we turned out more than six thousand hours of live television, that’s about 20,000 contributions, and the gongs are always good.”
The Sun went to ITV for comment.

Cast Away Verdict
Author: Rod McPhee
OVER three nights – and three one-hour episodes – Phillip Schofield bore his soul in Channel 5’s new show Cast Away.
And it’s actually an opportunity for the former host of This Morning to explain the circumstances that led him to leave the show last year.
To put it mildly, he went under a cloud, admitting that he had a relationship with a much younger runner from the program. But in the C5 show, he presents his own version of events – one that contradicts the emerging narrative at the time.
He is portrayed as a man who had an “unwise” affair, who resigned as a result and let many of his colleagues down.
But in Cast Away, Philip insists he was fired from ITV, not because of the affair, but because of the bad publicity surrounding his pedophile brother’s crimes. He summed it up best when he said he was “thrown under the bus”.
However, after watching Cast Away what you are left with is something quite confusing.
Did Philip think he did something wrong by falling in love with a runner or didn’t he? For example, he said that he would not have been criticized so much if it had been a heterosexual relationship.
He said he would: “get a pat on the back if he had an affair with a woman.” This means that the only thing wrong was that it was a same-sex love affair. So why does he also say: “I will be sorry forever. I screwed up. I was wrong.”
The answer, I suppose, is that the whole affair was a murky affair. There were so many blurred lines around appropriateness, professionalism and honesty.
The only solid conclusion you can draw from the series is that Phillip himself isn’t ENTIRELY sure of the extent to which he was guilty of wrongdoing.
In the midst of this confusion, what will the audience think? I suspect this will make those who disliked Phillip even more suspicious of him.
Those who supported him will also understand. But those still unsure of what to think will be none the wiser – and I’m not sure Phillip would want that.
