Lloyd Klein, the fiance of Mrs. Wildenstein, announced the tragedy to the AFP news agency.

His statement said she died of a pulmonary embolism in Paris on Tuesday.

It said: “Her partner Lloyd Klein is saddened to announce the death of Jocelyn Wildensetein in Paris.”

The socialite rose to fame thanks to extensive cosmetic surgery on her face, believed to have spent millions on a facelift, giving her high cheekbones and ‘cat eyes’ that give her a feline likeness.

However, she has previously denied ever having plastic surgery or being addicted to surgery, but has vowed not to stop going under the knife.

In 2023, she posted a photo of herself as a teenager as “proof” that she had always had high features, accusing people of Photoshopping her to make her look worse.

Wildenstein and Klein had been together since 2003, four years after her messy divorce from Alec Wildenstein, the French billionaire businessman and art dealer she married in a Las Vegas elopement in 1978.

The couple were together for 21 years before their marriage ended abruptly when she caught him sleeping with a model in their New York home.

Later, during an argument, he threatened her with a gun and spent the night in jail as a result.

After that, Wildenstein set a record for the number of divorces in the US, becoming one of the richest women in America.

She is said to have secured £2 billion in divorce and £80 million a year in maintenance – at one point she owned three flats in Trump Tower.

Wildenstein claimed to Vanity Fair that her high cheekbones and cat-like features were actually the result of her Swiss grandmother’s genetics, although she admitted to having a facelift to look younger for her then-husband.

But in the same interview with Vanity Fair, done in 1998, ex-husband Alec claimed she was “rearranging her face like a piece of furniture”.

She met Klein in 2003 at New York Fashion Week, and they got engaged in 2017.

The fashion designer proposed with a 32-carat ring that he said was worth “millions” and required security guards when he wasn’t wearing it.
