Jodie Sweetin's 2 Kids: All About Zoie and Beatrix

Jodie Sweetin has a lot of experience playing a daughter on TV as Stephanie Full house and Fuller Housebut now she has children of her own: daughters Zoie and Beatrix.

Sweetin married Cody Herpin in 2007, and the following year they had a daughter, Zoie, before splitting. The actress gave birth to her second daughter Beatrix in 2010 with Morty Coyle. The couple got married in 2012, and announced their separation the following year.

Fast forward, Zoie and Beatrix stood by their mom at her wedding to Mescal Wasilewski. Sweetin’s kids were a big part of the wedding planning process, and Zoie even picked out her mom’s dress.

“Zoie was the one who took it off the shelf and it was the first one I tried on and it was stunning and beautiful,” she told PEOPLE. “They are so happy to see me happy and they love this little unit that we have.”

Sweetin knew Wasilewski was her match because of how he treated Zoie and Beatrix.

“He steps up and steps in for them all the time,” the Hallmark star said. “Driving them back and forth, whether it’s football games or these plays … He’s really jumped in and listens to them and laughs with him.”

When it comes to parenting and making their blended family work, she says honesty is the best policy.

“One thing I’ve always done with my girls is admit that I’m not perfect and I don’t always have all the answers and I’m just trying to do my best,” she told Today in May 2023. “Because I think it’s important for kids to know that we’re human too.”

Zoie Herpin, 16

Sweetin and Herpin welcomed Zoie Laurelmae Herpin on April 12, 2008.

Over the years, Zoie has attended several industry events with Sweetin, including Hotel Transilvanija 3 premiere in 2018 and the Kid’s Choice Awards in 2019. Despite her infrequent appearances, Party of five the guest star has shared details about Zoe’s personality when the opportunity arises.

“My girls have good boundaries; they stand up for themselves and speak their minds,” she said Interviews with Allison podcast 2021 “Especially my older one, she was always that kid who would say, ‘I don’t like that.’ Not necessarily in a cocky way, but like, ‘No, I’m not going to do that.’ ”

The mother of two children also came forward Today about how impressed she was by Zoe’s positive social media presence.

“I was actually really proud of her,” Sweetin said in 2019. “I went through some of her stuff. And I saw some of her comments. I always tell them to be positive and not mean. I have no patience for any kind of online bullying .”

Zoie has an Instagram dedicated to her passion for soccer, as well as a personal account where she shares snaps of hanging out with friends.

Sweet’s firstborn may also follow in her acting footsteps — she had a small cameo on Fuller House season 2

For her 16th birthday, Zoie got a white BMW SUV, and Sweetin is currently teaching her to drive.

“She’s actually a pretty good driver,” the actress admitted to PEOPLE in August 2024. “It feels weird like normal, but it also feels like, ‘How did we get here so fast?’ But I’m adapting.”

Beatrix Sweetin Coyle, 13

Sweetin and Coyle announced the arrival of their daughter, Beatrix Carlin Sweetin Coyle, on August 31, 2010.

Speaking to PEOPLE in 2011, the podcast host said Zoie has adjusted well to being a big sister.

“She’s the sweetest,” Sweetin said. “She just loves to be a part of helping and wants to change diapers and wants to play with her [Beatrix] and give her kisses.”

She added: “When he wakes up in the morning, he says, ‘Oh, I want to wake up Beatwix too, mum’, and he takes his little chair up on the stairs and brings it over and looks over the cot. It’s so cute.”

Like her sister, Sweetin has taken Beatrix to fun events, including a special night to raise money for rescue dogs in 2022, which she shared on Instagram.

“At the #wagsandwalksgala last night and I brought Bea as a chaperone! It was heaven… dogs everywhere,” she captioned their selfie.

To celebrate Beatrix’s 13th birthday in 2023, Sweetin posted a carousel of throwback and recent photos on her Instagram.

“Looking back through all these pictures from when she was little until now… always the goofy face, animal lover, cuddly,” she wrote. “Proud is too small a word. I love you to the moon and back, Bea!!”

Shortly after her birthday, the mother-daughter duo went on Beyoncé’s Renaissance tour.
