Joe Keery Addresses Rumors of a Taylor Swift Recording Studio ‘Collaboration’: ‘Very Confusing Day’

Joe Keery had quite the “confusing day” when he was spotted at Electric Lady Studios at the same time as Taylor Swift in June.

In a performance at Tonight’s show Thursday, Stranger Things actor, 31, addressed later rumors that he and the “Mastermind” singer, 34 — who has been spotted in a recording studio in New York several times this year — might be working together.

“Well, it was a very confusing day because I was just inside with John, minding my own business, doing nothing, and then I walked out the door, and it was like 1,000 people standing outside. People were looking at me, expecting Taylor, and they were like, ‘Who is this guy?'” Keery, who releases music as Djo, told host Jimmy Fallon when asked about a possible collaboration between the artists.

The performer then revealed that people started to notice him — sort of: “And then I was walking down the block and somebody said, ‘Oh, that’s that guy!'”

Fallon (49) pressed him again about the possibility of collaborating with Swift.

“So we can’t say anything?” Fallon asked, to which Keery sheepishly replied, “Maybe it would generate something. Maybe that experience generated something in the universe, but I don’t know.”

Fallon then tried to extract information from Fargo actor about the next season Stranger Things, which is scheduled to begin shooting in 2024. “Have you seen the scripts?” Keery asked.

“I’ve seen a few, yeah. I don’t think I can say anything, maybe, other than that,” he told the host.

Fallon later talked about how his character on the show — Steve Harrington — gets into fights a lot and asked Keery if fans can expect more of that in the final season.

“You know, we don’t know. Odds are, I’d say,” he told the host, indicating it was likely.

Keery, who currently stars on Fargohe also discussed having Jon Hamm, who happened to appear on the late night show the night before, play his father on the show.

“So the dynamic of the character is that I have daddy issues. And with a guy like Jon Hamm, it’s easy. He’s a hot, you know, guy,” Keery noted.

The “Change” singer added, “He’s amazing, yeah. He’s great.”
