John Legend is the impromptu king of songs!
On Monday, November 25, the 45-year-old musician appeared on Show Jennifer Hudson and performed an impromptu song based on a funny photo of his wife Chrissy Teigen.
“We love that you can come up with a song about anything,” host Jennifer Hudson, 43, began, to which Legend replied, “I’m a songwriter, I am.”
Referring to Hudson’s boyfriend, rapper Common, he clarified, “I’m not a freestyler like Common, he’s a real freestyler.”
“OK, I got a little boost though,” Hudson continued. “If I pull out a picture, can you make a song about it?”
“I can try,” Legend replied as the pair walked over to a nearby piano.

Hudson then explained that her guest had to come up with a song based on whatever photo was about to appear on the screen.
“I’m doing my best,” Legend said. “I’m really doing this impromptu, everyone. This is not fake, this is real.”
A photo was then shown of Teigen, 38, kissing a fish as she stood next to their daughter Luna Simone, 8, and son Miles Theodore, 6.

“Oh,” Legend, who also shares daughter Esti Maxine, 22 months, and son Wren Alexander, 17 months, with Teigen, sighed lovingly before playing soulful notes on the piano.
Smiling as he looked at the photo, he slowly sang, “Chrissy, oh why are you kissing the little fish?”
Continuing his vocals, the artist sang, “Chrissy, why are you kissing a fish? Don’t you have a man at home? He sits all alone. Oh, don’t you have a man at home? Leave that fish alone.”

When Legend finished his entertaining segment about Teigen, whom he married in 2013, the audience clapped and cheered.
Hudson and the songwriter also performed a duet of Legend’s 2004 song “Ordinary People” on the show.
As the “All of Me” singer began the first verse, the duo sang the chorus together.
