John Stamos and Wife Caitlin McHugh Recreate ‘Barbie’ Scene While Slamming Margot Robbie and Greta Gerwig Oscar Snubs

John Stamos shares his support for Barbie a film that follows director Greta Gerwig and actress Margot Robbie who turned down an Oscar.

In the video, Stamos and his wife Caitlin McHugh recreated a scene from the 2023 blockbuster. McHugh, 37, portrayed Robbie’s Barbie, while Stamos took on the role of Ryan Gosling’s Ken.

The video pulls dialogue from the scene when Barbie asks Ken to be scant during their trip to the real world. In Stamos and McHugh’s recreation, vampire Diaries the actress takes care of their garden while Stamos relaxes off to the side and tries to tend to their yard.

Gosling, nominated for best supporting actor, also expressed his disappointment that Gerwig, 40, and Robbie, 33, were not nominated for best director and best actress.

“There is no Ken without Barbie, and there is no Barbie Barbie a film without Greta Gerwig and Margot Robbie, the two people most responsible for this history-making, globally acclaimed film. America Ferrera, who received a Best Supporting Actress nomination for her work in the film, also expressed how “incredibly disappointed” she was that the two were not nominated.

“Greta did almost everything a director could do to deserve it,” 39-year-old Ferrera said Diversity.
