John Stamos Tributes Wife Caitlin McHugh on Their Wedding Anniversary!

The actor, 60, paid a loving tribute to wife McHugh, 37, in an Instagram post on Saturday as the couple celebrated their sixth wedding anniversary.

“Marriage is balancing two worlds on top of a promise, a lesson in compromise, a testament to trust,” Stamos wrote in the caption as he shared a black-and-white photo of himself smiling with his wife on their wedding day.

“It is a partnership of mutual respect, shared adventures and shared dreams. Happy anniversary, @caitlinskybound All my heart, forever. XOJS,” Full house alum sweetly added.

On Saturday, McHugh also marked their anniversary by posting a second photo from the couple’s wedding day. The sweet snap showed her hugging her new husband after their wedding.

“In 6 years and I’m as happy as I am in this photo,” she said in the caption. “Happy anniversary love. I am grateful to you for our beautiful life together. I love you my love. ❤️.”

Stamos and McHugh married in February 2018. The couple welcomed their son Billy two months later in April. The couple met and got engaged at Disneyland after a whirlwind romance in October 2017, after a year of dating.

In October, Stamos spoke to PEOPLE about his gratitude for his wife and son who have brought a renewed sense of joy into his life as he credited them with “keeping me on a new path.”

“They’ve kept me on this path because going down the road of sobriety and self-care, everybody’s trying. Everybody’s doing it,” Stamos said at the time. “It might kick in for a while. Then it’s like, ‘I can drink again.’ So staying on track is what they mostly do for me.”

The actor, who published his memoirs If you had told me in October, he also said he’s “learned a lot” from his wife when it comes to philanthropy and expanding his political views, while talking about their 23-year age difference.

“Being older with someone younger, you go, okay, you know everything and they have to listen to me,” he told PEOPLE. “But I always learn something from her,” he shared. “What I love about our household with Billy is that there’s always a political conversation or a charity event going on.”
