Jennifer Lopez Rocks 2 Statement Looks During Saturday Night Live, Is Unfazed by Hair Mishap

Ahead of her ninth studio album ‘This Is Me… Now,’ Lopez returned to ‘SNL’ for two stylish performances

Jennifer Lopez is back on Saturday night live as a musical guest for the fourth time.

The singer and actress, 54, returned to Studio 8H to perform during the Feb. 3 episode, hosted by Bear star Ayo Edebiri, and she shone on stage in two striking outfits.

Edebiri introduced both of Lopez’s performances, the first being a new version of her song, “Can’t Get Enough,” with Latto and REDMAN joining the singer on stage for cameo appearances. Looking every inch the pop superstar, Lopez wore an updated version of the suit, including a cropped black jacket, black trousers with sleek cutouts and a cropped white shirt. Her long hair was loose in waves.

While the singer and actress showed off her impressive dancing skills, fans on social media were quick to point out her professionalism when she suffered a wardrobe mishap due to her hairstyle during the performance. One video, published on X (formerly known as Twitter), showed the actress and singer as she appeared to remove a loose hairpiece and toss it to the ground without missing the beat of her performance.

“What a performer, shake it off and carry on! 👏👏,” one fan wrote in the video’s comments, while another added: “The show must go on. JLO ate that performance 🔥.”

Jennifer Lopez performs on ‘Saturday Night Live’ on February 3rd.

Later in the show, Lopez performed the title track from her ninth studio album This is me… nowstunning in a floor-length, off-the-shoulder floral dress.

The pale pink dress also featured a thigh-high slit, as the singer let her look do the talking, this time with her hair in a sleek updo and just her wedding jewelery and flashy microphone.

For Lopez, this is the first appearance on SNL since hosting in 2019. Previously, the singer of the song “Budimo glasni” twice performed double duty as a host and performer.

Ahead of Saturday’s performance, Lopez appeared equally stylish in promotional pictures she posted on Instagram teasing her look. Wearing a light gray blazer over a bright yellow skirt and a white turtleneck blouse, she tied her look together with a gold belt and a pair of bright blue heels.

The album sees Lopez more involved in the production and songwriting of its 13 tracks, including “Dear Ben Pt. II” (the follow-up to her 2002 love song “Dear Ben”). The lead single “Can’t Get Enough” was released on January 10th.
