Johnny Mathis is retiring from a live performance.
On Wednesday, March 26, Mathis’s Facebook account announced that the 89-year-old Kroner would stop working live, because of the “age and memory questions, which are accelerated.”
The singer will continue to perform three more shows on her “Voice of Romance Tour” before her last appearance on Sunday, May 18th. “Unfortunately, exciting concerts still appear, all Johnny Mathis concerts from June 2025 onwards were fired,” the Facebook post said.
It will also perform on Thursday, April 10, in Shippensburg, Penn.; Saturday, April 26, in Shipshewana, Ind.; and Saturday, May 10th, in Santa Rosa, California, before the May 18th in England in England, NJ
“Johnny Mathis and his entire staff send their cordial gratitude to all fans of Mathis around the world for your constant love and support of his music,” said the statement, before concluding: “She is truly” wonderful, wonderful. “”

Mathis began the Tour Voice of Romance in September 2024 and received good criticism for his recent appearances.
After the show at the Mystic Lake Casin in the previous lake, Minn., Minneapolis Star Tribune Mathis called “the most beautiful romantic concert in the theater in recent memory.”

Mathis pension follows almost 70 years of tour. He started his career in 1955 and released his first album, Johnny Mathis: The new sound in the popular song, 1956.
Through his long career, Mathis landed 34 songs on Hot 100 and three songs reached the first 10. He also released 79 studio albums, with his latest release, Johnny Mathis sings a brilliant new American song book, in 2017.
He was nominated for five Grammy and received the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2003. His classics are “chances are”, “Misty” and “It’s not for me to say”, everyone was introduced to Grammy Hall of Fame. Mathis and Jane Olivor also received a nomination for Oscar in 1978 for their song “The Last time I felt like this” from The same time, next year.
Mathis remains the longest -running Columbia Records cinematographer, according to his website.
