Jonathan Majors has lost another movie role.
The Ant Man and the Wasp: Quantumania The 34-year-old star will no longer play Dennis Rodman in the biopic about the former NBA player — which has been tentatively titled 48 hours in Vegas — after being found guilty of assault and harassment last month, according to CNN.
Majors’ legal representatives did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

It was originally announced that Majors would play the Chicago Bulls star in the film more than a year ago. Assumption for 48 hours in Vegas revolves around Rodman’s infamous trip to Las Vegas during the 1998 NBA Finals.
It was originally set to be produced under Lionsgate, but the film studio is no longer involved, and the film has been returned to producers Phil Lord, Chris Miller and Aditya Sood, according to Deadline. According to reports, Rodman is also an executive producer of the film Entertainment Weekly.
Majors was found guilty in December of third-degree criminal mischief, recklessly causing bodily harm and second-degree harassment after an alleged domestic dispute with his ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari in New York in March.

Majors’ defense attorney, Priya Chaudhry, released a statement after the verdict, saying, “It is clear that the jury did not believe Grace Jabbari’s story about what happened in the SUV because they found that Mr. Majors did not intentionally cause her any injuries. We are grateful for that. ”
“We are disappointed, however, that despite not believing Ms. Jabbara, the jury still found that Mr. Majors was in some way reckless when she attacked him,” she continued, adding, “Mr. Majors continues to believe in the process and looks forward to fully clearing his name.”

Following his conviction, Marvel Studios confirmed to PEOPLE that it has parted ways with Majors, who was set to star in various other upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe titles, including the fifth the Avengers movie.
The Belief III the actor played Kang the Conqueror in 2023 Ant Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and was featured in the Disney+ series Loki.

Last week, Majors spoke for the first time after the trial in an interview with Good morning Americasaying he was “absolutely shocked and scared” after hearing the verdict.
“How is that possible? Based on the evidence, based on the prosecution’s evidence, let alone our evidence,” Majors said. He also pointed out that he “feels that the time has come” to give an interview now, because “a lot has happened”.
“It’s about responsibility and stepping forward and being brave and giving your part of the story,” he added.
Majors is due back in court for sentencing on February 6, where he could face up to a year in prison.
