After hiding her devastating diagnosis for two years, Jonnie spoke about her illness in November 2022.

Speaking exclusively for HELLO! magazine, he revealed, “I don’t know how long I have to live, but I’m trying to stay optimistic and my attitude is that I’m living with cancer, not dying from it. I’m marking a small sign – the things I want to be. I’ve gotten into the habit of saying, ‘Don’t plan ahead because I might not be well enough.’

“But now I want to plan. I want to create memories and capture these moments with my family because of the fact that my sons will grow up without knowing their father’s face and that makes it so contrary to the truth. My heart is broken.”
