Josh Peck Jokes Studio Was 'Delulu' for Thinking He Could Pass as Chris Hemsworth's Brother in 2012's Red Dawn

Josh Peck sees no family resemblance between himself and his own Red dawn actor Chris Hemsworth.

On Thursday, Nov. 7, Peck shared a Thursday throwback photo on Instagram from the 2012 film, a remake of the 1984 cult classic, in which he played Matt Eckert, Hemsworth’s movie brother.

In the caption, Peck wrote: โ€œ#tbt to the moment a major studio believed @chrishemsworth and I could play brothers. Stay cool everyone.”

Fans in the comments section played along with the joke, saying they could see a resemblance between the two stars, while others reminisced about the film.

“I was invested, I saw a vision ๐Ÿ˜‚ such a great movie!!!!” one fan wrote. “If you squint hard enough, you can see what they saw ๐Ÿ˜,” joked another.

The “major studio” Peck refers to in the post is MGM/UA Entertainment Company, which also released the original Red dawn. Due to MGM’s financial problems at the time, the film was sold to another distributor and finally released two years after it was made.

The remake of the action thriller will celebrate its 12th anniversary on November 21.
