Juan Merchan began his attorney career after earning a law degree in 1994. His first job was at New York County District Attorney’s Office as an Assistant District Attorney in Trial Division in the same year.
After working in that position for four years, he was promoted to the Investigations Division in 1998 and he continued to work for around a year. Since 1999, he began working at New York State Attorney General till 2006.
