Julia Fox is ready to say “I do!” — well, at least half of it is.
She wore what appeared to be a white turtleneck wedding dress top with a veil at the Sotheby’s show in New York on Thursday night. The top rested on one shoulder and the veil, which featured dramatic fringe detailing, was draped over the head bridal-style.
And that’s just the top! The hem of the veil was cut well above Fox’s navel, and she ditched the center part of the dress entirely, opting instead for a skimpy black thong. Her legs were covered by the lower half of the deconstructed dress, which was also white with a small train. (Still with us?)
Fox, 33, completed the look with white ruffled lace gloves and a white handbag, plus bold white eye make-up.

Fox was joined by a friend, who you could see on her Instagram Story, in black pants and a shirt with a man’s tuxedo drawn on it. The finishing touch: a black purse in the shape of a poodle.
We’re not even halfway through January, and Fox has already lined up a parade of fantastic ensembles.
As reported Cosmopolitan, hit the streets of Miami (and in 2024) earlier this month wearing a lingerie-inspired look with strategically placed pink bows attached to a barely-there white bra and white lace pants. She completed the look with a pearl handbag, Simone Rocha pumps and the same white lace gloves that completed her outfit at Sotheby’s on Thursday.

We’re in awe of the strategically-placed tape that’s sure to protect her where it needs to be, but we’re not shocked that the model is kicking off 2024 in a risque, deconstructed outfit.
“I never had money for clothes, so I’d go to all these really nice stores on Fifth Avenue and steal beautiful clothes. Then I’d make them my own by cutting them up,” Fox told Charli XCX in a December interview with Interview magazine adding that she unknowingly shied away from bigger designers when she was just becoming known for wearing clothes she felt were more unique.

And in 2022, said Fox Cut that she stopped listening to her publicist team when they told her something she wanted to wear was “too editorial” like she did earlier in her career.
“Fuck that talk if I want to jump out and wear crazy s–t — which is what I want to wear,” Fox said, adding that before she was famous, she walked out in clothes that were so revealing that “anything was possible see.”
