Justin Timberlake Postpones New Jersey Concert Due to an 'Injury': 'I'm So Disappointed'

Justin Timberlake is postponing his performance due to a recent injury.

Ahead of his Forget Tomorrow World Tour show in Newark, New Jersey on Tuesday, October 8, the “Selfish” singer announced on social media that he will be postponing the show.

“I’m sorry to postpone tonight’s show. I have an injury that prevents me from performing. I’m so disappointed that I won’t be able to see you all – but I’m working on rescheduling as soon as possible. I promise to make it up to you and give you the show you deserve” , wrote Timberlake (43) with a heartbroken emoticon.

“Thank you for your understanding. I always appreciate your support,” he added, signing his post ‘JT’.

At his performance at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn the night before, Timberlake seemed in great spirits. He even let a fan pop the question to his girlfriend.

“I see a sign that says, ‘May I propose to Sarah?’ Timberlake said, pausing his show to thank the man holding the handwritten poster.

“Are you ready?” Timberlake asked a fan before handing him the microphone. He also gave him brief words of encouragement: “You got it.”

The audience went wild and filmed as he asked the question. Sara’s “yes” was visible on the screens in the arena.

Days before, Timberlake used his show in Montreal to let his fans know it was a “very special night” for him.

Justin Timberlake helped the couple get engaged during his show in New York: ‘Congratulations!’

“My wife is here tonight. And tonight is our 12-year anniversary,” he said as Jessica Biel looked on from the side of the stage.

“So be good to her, Montreal, because she’s sharing me with all of you tonight,” he joked. “I love you, baby.”

Next, Timberlake is scheduled to perform in Philadelphia on October 11th, followed by Washington DC on October 13th.
