In the year leading up to a new solo album, 2023 was full of musical milestones for Timberlake. In September, he and *NSYNC released their first song together in over 20 years: “Better Place” for his film Trolls Band together.

The quintet – Timberlake plus JC Chasez, Lance Bass, Chris Kirkpatrick and Joey Fatone – reunited in the studio to record the infectious pop banger – bringing back the early ’90s and ’00s boy band icons, giving it a contemporary sound update with a disco-pop beat.

Each member, who also has roles in the animated film, gets their moment to shine as Timberlake sings the chorus.

Although the “It’s Gonna Be Me” band has reunited in the past — teaming up for their 2018 Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony and in honor of Timberlake’s Video Vanguard Award at the 2013 MTV VMAs — this was the first time they’ve dropped new music.
