Justin Timberlake can’t stop spinning.
The “Mirrors” singer took part in a “bike bus” with Bike Bus co-founder Sam Balta and other cyclists in Portland, Oregon, on a rainy day ride.
“CYCLE BUS! Thank you @coachbalto for letting me and @thetnkids join your ride yesterday morning,” read the Monday, January 13 Instagram Reel. “You bring joy to many people here 🫶🏻 @bikebusworld”
Timberlake (43) was joined by his family on the ride, which was attended by dozens of children and adults. In the clip, Balto mentioned that Bike Bus takes place “rain or shine.”
Balto thanked Timberlake for his participation in the environmental initiative. “Thank you @justintimberlake & @thetnkids for joining #BikeBus in Portland!!! The bike bus movement is on a mission to get more kids and families biking to school! Learn more at BikeBusWorld.org @bikebusworld.”
A post on TikTok Balto gave another look at the Portland Bike Bus, where the song “Can’t Stop The Feeling” played as participants rode their bikes and the community lined the streets in support. In the caption, he gave a shout out to those who packed “an absolutely amazing day with so much joy and excitement.”

He spoke about his experience with Bike Bus during his concert in Portland on January 13, saying he was “privileged” to join Balto and his team.
“What you do here in your local community [is] inspiring people, doing good things, inspiring young minds,” he told the Forget Tomorrow World Tour crowd, before adding: “Let’s do it again.”

Bike Bus is “on a mission to transform the well-being of children, communities and our climate, through shared cycling to school,” according to their website.
“Our organization helps communities start their own bike-to-school buses. We do this by giving organizers the tools and guidance to build bike buses, helping them advocate for active transportation infrastructure and policy, and securing funding at the local and national level.”

Balto told PEOPLE in 2024 about the Bike Bus, explaining that he launched it on Earth Day 2022. “It was a way to get my students active, reduce car trips for students driving to school, and have fun on bikes.”
Just as his social media accounts are dedicated to eco-friendly rides, so have the participants. “The numbers vary between 50 and 150 students, and many parents join in,” he added.
“The more people cycling together the safer it becomes, there’s a wonderful safety in numbers.”
