Jyotsna Suri is the Chairman and Managing Director of Bharat Hotels Limited, which operates a chain of luxury five-star hotels with the flagship “The LaLiT”. She was born on July 20, 1952 and attended Lawrence School in Sanawar, Himachal Pradesh. Later, she completed a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) degree in English from Miranda College, Delhi University. She received her “Doctor of Laws” (honors) degree from the University of Warwick, UK.

Jyotsna Suri started her career at Bharat Hotels Limited in 1987 as its joint managing director. A self-confessed workaholic, she took over as chairman and managing director in 2006 following the death of her husband, the group’s founder, Lalit Suri. Two years later, she led the successful brand transformation of the hotel chain – The LaLiT under the Lalit Suri Hotel Group. In 2014, she was elected president of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI).

DrJyotsna Suri is the wife of Lalit Suri, the founder of Bharat Hotels Limited, and has four children, three daughters (Deeksha Suri, Divya Suri, Shradha Suri) and a son (Keshav Suri). The late Lalit Suri was a member of the Rajya Sabha (the upper house of the Indian parliament) from Uttar Pradesh.
