Kai Widdrington wanted to become a footballer like his father, but when he was 12, he changed his mind and started dancing. At the age of 14, he was the world junior Latin American champion. He then went on to compete in Britain’s Got Talent S6 in 2012. Here he danced with Natalija Jeved, but they finished 11th. In the eighth season of the same program, he appeared with the group Kings & Queens. They made it to the semi-finals, but were defeated.
Furthermore, he appeared on Dancing with the Stars four times, in 2007, 2018, 2019 and 2020, finishing in sixth, second, eighth and second place. Katherine Lynch, Anna Geary, Demi Isaac Oviawe and Gráinne Gallanagh were his dance partners. Kai was also seen in the 19th season of Strictly Come Dancing with TV personality AJ Odudu.
