Kaitlin Olson Reveals She Outbid Rob McElhenney for Kylie Kelce’s Eagles Jacket

Rob McElhenney lost Kylie Kelce’s Eagles jacket to none other than his wife, Kaitlin Olson.

The It’s always sunny in Philadelphia actor, 46, appeared in the last episode of the series New heights with Jason and Travis Kelce podcast to discuss his struggles with consistently outbidding a limited-edition autographed Eagles jacket at an auction to benefit the NFL team’s Autism Foundation.

“I couldn’t believe that someone jumped right in every time I bid, so my final bid was to represent my favorite Eagles player, 62. [$62,000]I thought that was a good number,” McElhenney said to brothers and football players, Jason and Travis Kelce.

“And then I got a text from someone I know who said, ‘I was the one who bid against you, boss.’ And it never crossed my mind that this was a possibility, and it turned out that I was living with that person,” he continued, talking about his wife and It’s always sunny costar.

Olson then spoke on the podcast saying, “What’s up?” Jason responded by saying, “Kaitlin! My God, an inside job!”

“Okay, we live in the same house. This is a foundation that is important to both of us. The jacket looks great on your wife,” Olson told the Philadelphia Eagles center. “Obviously it’s for women. I want that. He doesn’t mention anything about it. I ask myself: ‘What are you doing?’ ”

She added, “[Kylie] she looks great in it. I want to wear a jacket.”

The Hacks The 48-year-old actress explained in the podcast that she found out her husband was bidding on the item thanks to social media. “On X I find out how much it offers,” she said. “And from Jason Kelce to crash the site. I said, ‘No, no, no, I’m crashing the site.’ ”

Ultimately, the couple decided to make a “matching” donation of $100,000 because the money would go to the good cause of the Philadelphia Eagles Autism Foundation. “We just believe in this organization,” McElhenney said.

He added, “Actually, we’ve done a few episodes [Welcome to Wrexham docuseries] about a lot of the work we do with the autistic community and it actually covers the whole spectrum of all kinds of different neurodivergent disorders.”

“It’s something we talk about all the time,” he continued. “It’s something we feel really strongly about so to be a part of it in any way…”

Then Olson joked that she ended up winning the bidding war. “I’m winning, basically. I won. I won. I won the jacket for sure. He will never wear a jacket,” she said.

“Thank you both. This is beyond generous,” Jason told the pair. “You guys are amazing. You’re great at everything you do, including the jacket competition.”

The Kelly Green varsity jacket, which retails for $400 and is made by Philadelphia-based sportswear company Mitchell & Ness, features gray and white accents with the team logo and old-school mascot on the back. The jacket, which also has royal connections, is also signed by Jason’s wife, who also modeled it on the Eagles’ Instagram.

Unsigned versions of the jacket were previously on sale at Eagles Pro Shop, Mitchell & Ness and Fanatics, and can now be found online at other auction sites.
