Kamala Harris Makes Surprise Appearance on Saturday Night Live with Maya Rudolph to Raucous Applause: 'End the Dramala'

Kamala Harris suddenly appeared on Saturday night live November 2, three days before the presidential elections.

The show began with James Austin Johnson as Donald Trump, followed by Maya Rudolph as the Vice President, a role she played all season. After talking with President Biden (played by Dana Carvey) and Mr. Doug Emhoff (Andy Samberg), Rudolph sat down in front of a mirror.

“I wish I could talk to someone who’s been in my shoes … a black, South Asian woman running for president, preferably from the Bay Area,” Rudolph said.

Harris, 60, then appeared seated opposite Rudolph (both in matching suits), prompting a standing ovation from the live audience.

“You and me, sister,” Harris said. “It’s good to see you, Kamala. I’m just here to remind you: you have this. Because you can do something your opponent can’t. You can open doors.”

The joke referred to Trump’s Oct. 30 appearance in Wisconsin, where he appeared to miss the door of a garbage truck while trying to open it.

As Rudolph laughed, Harris replied, “I’m not really laughing, am I?”

“A little,” Rudolph replied, before intoning, “Kamala, take my palm-ala. The American people want to stop the chaos and end the drama.”

Rudolph and Harris then said in unison, “Keep calm and continue on-a-la,” before adding, “We know each other so well that we even end … faith in the promises of America.”
