Kapil Sibal was born on 8 August 1948 in Jalandhar, Punjab (75 years; as of 2023). His zodiac sign is Leo. He was educated at St. John’s High School, Chandigarh. In 1964, he moved to Delhi. He entered St. Stephen’s College in Delhi to pursue his Bachelor of Laws degree. In 1969, after completing his LLB, he completed an MA in History at St. Stephen’s. He was admitted to the Bar in 1972. He even attempted the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) examination in 1973 and passed it, but he declined the offer. He founded his own company in 1973 and then went to the United States to study for a master’s degree in law at Harvard Business School in Cambridge. After completing his LLM in 1977, he returned to India and started practicing law. In 1989, he was named a senior lawyer. In 1989, he was appointed Solicitor General of India. He also served as President of the Supreme Court Bar Association three times (1995-96, 1997-1998 and 2001-2002).

In July 1998, he was elected to the Federal Council for the first time. He was nominated to the Bundestag because of the good image he had established over the years as a constitutional lawyer. Over the years, he held many ministerial posts, made some very important decisions, and passed many bills of vital importance to the country.

Kapil Sibal’s political career began in 1998 when he was nominated as a Member of Parliament by the Indian National Congress (INC). From 2000 to 2002, he was appointed Secretary of the Congress Party. He was a member of the India Business Advisory Council. In August 2001, he was appointed as a member of the Internal Affairs Committee, and in 2002, he was appointed as a member of the Internal Affairs Committee. He was first elected to the Lok Sabha in 2004 and appointed as the Federal Minister for Science, Technology and Earth Sciences in the Manmohan Singh government. In 2009, he was re-elected to the Lok Sabha and appointed as the Federal Minister of Human Resource Development. On January 19, 2011, he was appointed Federal Minister of Communications and Information Technology. In May 2013, he was additionally charged by the Ministry of Law and Justice. On May 5, 2016, he was elected as a member of the Uttar Pradesh Federal Assembly. On May 16, 2022, he resigned from the Indian National Congress. On May 25, 2022, he submitted his nomination as an independent candidate for the Federal House elections; his candidacy was supported by the Samajwadi Party.
