Kat Von D aka Katherine von Drachenberg was born on Monday, March 8, 1982 in Montemorelos, Nuevo León, Mexico (age 41; as of 2023). Her zodiac sign is Pisces. When she was four, her family moved to the Inland Empire, Southern California, and later to Colton, California. Inspired by her grandmother, she began studying piano at the age of six. She started listening to punk music at the age of twelve, which had a huge influence on her, and she started wearing a mohawk and got her first tattoo at the age of fourteen. She got into a fight on the first day of seventh grade and dropped out. At 15, she spent six months at Provo Canyon School, a juvenile psychiatric treatment center, which she later described as the worst six months of her life. In 2007, she appeared on two seasons of the TLC reality show Miami Ink, which was filmed at 305 Ink in Miami, Florida. She later appeared in its spin-off series LA Ink, which was filmed at her high-pressure tattoo parlor in Hollywood, California. The show premiered on August 7, 2007, ran for four seasons, and ended on September 15, 2011. She also appeared in the TV show Pimp My Ride in 2004, I Love Jenni in 2013 and The Lincoln Lawyer in 2022.

She sang female vocals on the 2012 song “Rosary Blue” by Finnish band The 69 Eyes. In 2009, she starred in the horror film “Bleeding.” She narrated the 2018 animal rights documentary Dominion. Her second book, “The Tattoo Chronicles,” was published on October 26, 2010, and climbed to No. 3 on the New York Times “Hardcover Advice & Miscellaneous” list. Bestseller list. In 2008, she created a cosmetics line for the French brand Sephora, and later created fragrances. In 2016, she changed her products to be vegan.
