Good Morning Britain and This Morning compete for Ben Shephard’s attention! Following the presenter’s recent gig with Holly Willoughby, fans wondered if the star could be poached for ITV’s sister show, This morning.
In a hilarious moment on Friday’s programme, GMB star Kate Garraway addressed the ongoing speculation and joked that Good morning Britain was trying to win Ben back. Click on the video below to see what happened…

After Ben raved about his time on the This morningand revealed that Gino D’Acampo even cooked an excellent cheesecake for the hosts on the show, Kate had the best answer.
“I felt a little bit like … you know when your kids go around other people’s houses and they’re like, ‘Oh, Sophie’s mom makes great bolognese,’ that’s how it felt for all of us,” she said.

“So we didn’t want to be outdone and we worked really hard on the cheesecake.”
After trying to hold back her laughter, Kate added, “The team got it earlier so there wasn’t much left. So we have this one. I don’t know, is it good?”

The moment, which had on-screen viewers laughing, was later shared on Xu, formerly known as Twitter, with the caption: “We’re competing for @benshephard’s love and we’re not winning.”

On Wednesday, Ben appeared on This Morning to much praise from fans.

On Instagram, the official account of the popular daytime show posted a picture of the host with Holly, thanking him for his appearance as host.
“Thanks for stopping by @benshephardofficial!” they shared with a sunglasses emoji. The post was soon inundated with messages as fans clamored for Ben to be a permanent co-host, following the departure of Phillip Schofield in May.
