For Hudson, rethinking her goals enhances her journey toward maintaining them—and she encourages others to do the same.

“What makes you feel good? How do we get there?” she asked. “Why are we in a place right now where people feel so much anxiety and sadness and how do you get people excited about small steps for big wins?”

As for her shared interests with other like-minded people who focus on eating right, staying in shape and taking care of their mental health, Hudson says they all share a common goal.

“I think everyone in the fitness, nutrition, health and wellness community has a real passion in common,” she explains. “And when you create that support, you live it together and hold each other accountable. You nurture those people in your life, but there are a lot of people who don’t have that support.”

Helping others find that support is now where her partnership with MyFitnessPal comes in, as Hudson and her trainer, Brian Nguyen, work with the app to promote her new seven-day “Small Steps, Big Wins Plan” — which offers guidance on how to make minimal health changes that will lead to great results.

“For me, technology has become a great gift … and it’s through companies like MyFitnessPal, where you can find community, find support, get science and have information — no excuses. It’s there,” Hudson says.

“When you have that support system, it makes your day, which inevitably makes your life better,” she continues, as Nguyen adds, “My quote for this month was, ‘A bird doesn’t sing because it sings an answer, a bird sings because it has a song. ‘, and I believe my mate Birdie and I have a song here.”

“With MyFitnessPal and the Small Steps, Big Wins Plan, what better way to create a community of birds?” asks the fitness enthusiast – who has trained other celebrities including Mark Wahlberg and Patrick Schwarzenegger. “Birds who want to sing the same song and want to help their fellows.”
