Kate Middleton is again under scrutiny for allegedly altering a family photo released by the palace.
The image in question is a portrait of the late Queen Elizabeth and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren taken by Kate and released by Buckingham Palace on the monarch’s 97th birthday in April 2023.
Although the photo has been public for almost a year, on Monday Getty Images announced that the image had been manipulated.

Monday’s news comes just after photo experts found at least 16 editing errors in a Mother’s Day photo of Kate and her children that she shared on social media to celebrate the UK holiday earlier this month.
Some of the noticeable flaws found in the March 10 photo included Princess Charlotte’s oddly cut hair, dents and distortions, and Princess Kate’s hair looking like it had been brushed.

Instagram also flagged the image, adding a warning that the post has been “altered” from the original version.
