Welcome to The Blueprint, where we take apart the celebrity looks we want to wear right now and recreate them, piece by piece.
With the return of the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show and the surprise appearance of Kate Moss, I’m feeling wildly nostalgic.
After watching her make her catwalk debut for the brand, along with my daughter, I did the next logical thing: I took a walk down memory lane to review some of the best models from the ’90s. And while I haven’t seen many of them live, I did come across one that would fit right in with today.
In December 1994, Moss was seen at the airport wearing a chunky sweater, which Jennifer Garner wore to Architectural Digest cover the past month. She also wore shiny satin or silk pants similar to the ones we’ve seen on Oprah and Katie Holmes. She finished with a pair of fall-ready boots.

When celebrities start stepping out in knit sweaters, I know the cold weather and holiday season will be here in no time. This one has a higher neckline that isn’t actually turtleneck, which celebs are already rocking, and has slightly puffed sleeves, making it a “classic with a twist,” according to one shopper. Another customer also noted that it’s “soft, cozy and warm, but not bulky.”

I’ve had these particular pants on my wish list for months. They’re a bit pricey, hence my hesitation, but Jennifer Aniston, Taylor Swift, Jessica Alba and Holmes all wear Reformation, so that’s understandable. (I also found cheaper options.)
The relaxed fit feels comfortable for almost any activity imaginable – even hours spent sitting on a plane. The “Magnetic” color is also an amazingly unique neutral color that isn’t washed out blue jeans or a strong dark color. And they’re also available in leopard, which is a pattern I’ve been wearing a lot this year.

Black boots are basically the white sneakers of fall and winter — which means they are “it” shoes for cold weather. This pair has quite a high heel, but the block design looks more comfortable than the painful and dangerous models of heels worn on the runway. And they come in half sizes, eliminating the need for socks as extra padding.
