Katerina Vladimirovna Tikhonova was born on Sunday, August 31, 1986 (age 35; as of 2022) in Dresden, East Germany (now Germany). Katarina was born in East Germany, where her father Vladimir Putin was sent to serve as a KGB spy. In 1991, after the reunification of East and West Germany, Putin and his family moved to Leningrad (now St. Petersburg), and Katarina studied at the Peter Middle School in Germany. She also studied German at Peter’s School. As gang violence increased in Leningrad, Putin sent his daughters back to Germany to complete their studies. In order to enter St. Petersburg University, Katerina Vladimirovna Tikhonova took and passed the entrance exam in July 2005. Katerina originally wanted to study ancient Chinese history, but she chose to study and specialize in Japanese history. In 2009, she graduated with a major in ancient Japanese history. Katarina received her master’s degree in physics and mathematics from Moscow State University. Catalina received the degree after submitting a thesis titled “Mathematical Problems in Correcting Vestibular Mechanoreceptor Activity.” Her paper was so widely accepted that she collaborated with several prominent scientists and published several subsequent volumes of her scientific journal.
Career after studies
Her non-profit organization Innopraktika follows the principles that unify two different programs of Moscow State University; the National Intellectual Development Foundation (NIDF) and the National Intellectual Reserve Center (NIRC). Innopraktika works to promote projects carried out by young and talented Russian scientists. In 2020, Innopratika established a new Department of Artificial Intelligence in cooperation with Moscow State University; appointed Katerina Vladimirovna Tikhonova as the director of the department.
