Real Housewives of New York City (RHONY) alum Kelly Bensimon is remarrying. She just announced her engagement to Scott Litner, her boyfriend of one year, on July 10, 2023. Kelly expressed her joy and shared her thoughts on this new chapter in her life in an exclusive statement to E! News. She shouted loudly,
“I never thought I would be this happy at this point in my life; this is truly a new beginning.”

Kelly Bensimon kept her year-long relationship with new boyfriend Scott Litner discreet, appearing only a few times in public. However, as the relationship progresses, RHONY viewers should expect to see more of Kelly’s fiancé. Her boyfriend Scott’s proposal, which took place over the Fourth of July weekend, was a brilliantly staged surprise. Scott Litner found a special opportunity to pop the question during a visit to Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, one of Kelly’s favorite summer vacation spots. He decided to propose on a romantic boat cruise, providing an intimate and beautiful setting for this momentous occasion.
Scott took advantage of the boat trip to present Kelly with a beautiful five-carat handmade diamond ring from New York jeweler Material Good. Scott added a hearty touch to the offer, making it even more meaningful. He took Kelly to a place she remembered from her youth, a place with beautiful memories and deep emotional connections. Kelly was deeply impressed by this thoughtful gift and expressed her feelings to E! saying,
“I was so touched that he brought me to a special place from my childhood to propose.”
Kelly Bensimon’s engagement was announced during the premiere party for Bravo’s Luann and Sonja: Welcome to Crappie Lake, the couple’s first public appearance since the news. Several former RHONY co-stars attended the event at the Ascent Lounge in New York, including Luann de Lesseps, Sonja Morgan, Ramona Singer and Dorinda Medley. Kelly made a statement with a sheer mesh dress over a black bikini.
Kelly Bensimon is getting married for the second time. She was previously married to Gilles Bensimon, a respected fashion photographer, with whom she had two children, Sea (25) and Teddy (23). Their marriage lasted from 1997 to 2006, and Kelly is currently seen starting a new marriage with Scott Litner. Kelly Bensimon has also advanced in her profession. She is now employed as a real estate agent at Douglas Elliman and plans to return to television. Kelly will appear in The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: RHONY Legacy, premiering July 16 on the Peacock.
