Kelly Brook admits having honeymoon ‘from hell’ after seeing different side to husband Jeremy

KELLY Brook has opened up about her “honeymoon from hell” with her husband Jeremy Parisi of two years.

The couple tried to squeeze in a special trip right after their beautiful Italian wedding in 2022.

As such, Kelly suggested that a South American adventure – courtesy of BBC reality show Race Across The World, another celebrity series – could tick the box.

The former pin-up, 44, and the model, 39, had a relatively modest budget of £1,100 each to see them through Chile and Brazil – all the while battling searing heat, giant crabs and map reading.

And while Frenchman Jeremy was impressed by how “strong” his wife was – her behavior raised eyebrows.

Kelly, who often presents gardening segments on This Morning, told Closer Magazine: “We didn’t have a honeymoon and I told Jeremy we should think of this as a fun alternative, a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

“Sometimes it was the honeymoon from hell – sometimes it was absolutely glorious.

“It has to be the most memorable honeymoon ever.”

Speaking about the Race Across The World challenge – which involves pairs of contestants racing to be the first to the final destination – she added: “I didn’t realize how competitive it was [Jeremy] he was, like, insanely competitive.

“I’m much more about the experience. I think I got on his nerves because he was in full steam.

“If Jeremy had driven the race alone, he would have finished it in a week.

“I was slowing him down a little bit and I said, ‘let’s go to Brazilian barbecue for a day or go to the beach.’

Kelly Brook has a big new ITV show with her little one husband – after she quit acting for good

“Sometimes I was grumpy – we didn’t know where we were going to sleep every night – but I think he was surprised at how strong I was.

– At some points I carried both of our bags.

Her comments come after she admitted she had never traveled on public transport before the show.

In the program, the stars are forbidden from flying on planes or using mobile phones and bank cards – which is a difficult requirement.

Race Across The World – Previous winners

Since launching in 2019, the BBC’s travel competition series Race Across The World has had four series to date. Let’s look back at the previous winners…

  • Series One: Elaine and Tony Teasdale: This married couple, who are retired PE teachers, won the first series of Race Across The World.
  • Second series: Emon and Jamiul Choudhury: The uncle-nephew duo emerged victorious in the second outing of the series.
  • Series Three: Tricia Sail and Cathie Rowe: These lifelong friends became the first non-family couple to win the series.
  • Series four: Alfie Watts and Owen Wood: Both aged 20, these friends beat four other couples to win series four.

Kelly will battle it out in the series alongside Radio 2 DJ and star Ted Lasso, The Sun has exclusively revealed.

Kola Bokinni, who played Isaac McAdoo in Ted Lass, signed up, as did BBC Radio 2’s Scott Mills with fiance Sam Vaughan.

Joining the cast will be Jeff Brazier and son Freddie, who The Sun announced last year would appear in the series.

At the time, a source told The Sun: “Kelly has traveled the world with Jeremy – and she’s really competitive so it’s going to be brilliant TV.

“Both Kola and Scott are fans of the show so they jumped at the chance to be involved.”

Kelly and Jeremy will also host a new daytime series, La Dolce Vita, which will follow their lives after leaving the UK and moving to rural Italy, for ITV.
