Kelly Osbourne doesn’t hold back when it comes to reminiscing about her time Fashion police.
The English TV personality and host, 39, went down memory lane on Tuesday, May 21, in an episode of The Osbournes podcastwhich he runs with his parents, Ozzy Osbourne and Sharon Osbourne, and his brother, Jack Osbourne.
The family was touched by Kelly’s time Fashion police, Hey!former fashion commentary show hosted by the late Joan Rivers. Kelly joined Joan as host alongside fashion editor George Kotsiopoulos and Hey! News co-host Giuliana Rancic when the series premiered in 2010. Other future hosts included NeNe Leakes and Kathy Griffin.
During the podcast episode, Kelly described working under Joan as “the best job I’ve ever had” and “the closest thing to working with my mom,” but she didn’t have fond memories of Rancic.

“We don’t need to give her anything,” Kelly replied when Sharon mentioned Rančić (49).

Jack then rehashed his sister’s fight with Rancic, which started when he was in the episode Fashion policethe Hey! News The host commented that Zendaya looked like she smelled like “grass” and “patchouli” because of the dreadlocks she wore to the 2015 Oscars. The Challengers the star was 18 years old at the time.

Rancic faced backlash over his remarks and apologized, but confusion over the controversy resulted in Kelly’s departure from Fashion police.
“One of the co-hosts of the show made a really freaking racist comment about her hair, and nothing happened to the woman for making that comment,” Jack said, referring to Rancic. “And then Kelly kind of took a stand, like, ‘That’s k—–d. I don’t want to work with somebody like that.’ And then it kind of turned around that Kelly said the comment, but Kelly didn’t say the comment.”

“It turned into this whole thing, and it made me take a hard look at where I was, and it made me realize that I don’t want to be there without Joan,” Kelly reflected. “One of my biggest regrets in all of this, to be honest with you, was how Melissa was [Rivers] hurt in all of this because she just lost her mom and then the show.”
Melissa Rivers, Joan’s daughter, joined Fashion police 2015 after his mother’s death in 2014. The show was canceled in 2017.
