Kelly Ripa Loved Her Architectural Digest Home Shoot but Admits She Was 'Very Upset' with This One Element

Kelly Ripa’s emotions are a bit mixed when it comes to her and Mark Consuelos’ recent relationship Architectural Digest shoot at home.

The longtime loves allowed the magazine to show off their interior design skills in their New York townhouse, but one skill Ripa, 54, didn’t think was accurately portrayed was her cooking.

“They said, ‘Kelly, we made scrambled eggs like you made scrambled eggs,'” Ripa shared on the Dec. 11 episode Living with Kelly and Mark. “I looked at this scrambled egg and thought, ‘I would never make scrambled eggs like this.’ Because I am very proud of my scrambled eggs.”

“These were dry. This didn’t look right,” remarked the mother of three. “They didn’t look like there were additives in there. There was no soft cheese, no crème fraîche. They were nothing [like] the way I make eggs, so I got really upset.”

Not only was the previously scrambled eggs not up to par, Ripa and Consuelos, who are parents to children Michael, 27, Lola, 23, and Joaquin, 21, both admitted they were caught off guard by the latest photographer, Douglas Friedman. minute improvisation for their kitchen video.

“Our friend Douglas, who is a photographer, threw two eggs on the floor and I thought Mark was going to die,” Ripa joked. “So it’s like a real reaction. I said, ‘Ohh.’ ”

The Riverdale alum, 53, agreed, sharing, “Yes, I am very particular about the house. And he says, ‘So, we’re going to throw some eggs on the floor.’ And I said: ‘On whose floor?’ He says, ‘Your floor, right here, now’. I short-circuited.”

In fact, the eggs were such a point of contention that Ripa felt the need to participate in it Architectural Digest video behind the scenes that she didn’t whip them.

“When you see eggs in a magazine, they’re stunt eggs,” she insisted in the clip. “I didn’t make those eggs. My eggs are beautiful. They are really very beautiful.”

But despite the fact that that part of the shoot did not go easily, Ripa and Consuelos were satisfied with how the magazine beautified their home.

“Would you say it’s the most glamorous version of the house ever?” Ripa asked Consuelos about a photo shoot on their talk show.

“Yeah, they made it look good,” he agreed.
