Kelly Ripa's Daughter Lola Consuelos Borrows Her Mom's 30-Year-Old Dress: 'Pretty Cool'

Kelly Ripa highlights a special family fashion moment.

The Living with Kelly and Mark host, 53, revealed on the Sept. 3 episode of her daytime TV show that her and Mark Consuelos’ daughter Lola, 23, recently wore an outfit straight out of her closet for the Disney Legends induction ceremony in August.

“… That dress that Lola wore is 30 years old,” Ripa said. “That was my dress from 30 years ago. So I thought that was pretty cool.”

On August 12, Ripa shared several photos of Lola in a wine-colored halter dress on her Instagram, in a clip showing other moments from the event. The post included a sweet family photo of her, Mark and Lola posing next to each other at their home ahead of the event holding hands and on the red carpet. Ripa wore a polka dot dress and white loafers, while Mark wore a black suit with a matching tie.

“Being named a Disney Legend is just pixie dust on top of the ice cream. Thank you for this honor @Disney! @DisneyD23,” she captioned the post at the time.

During Tuesday’s show, she quipped, “I was like [to Mark]’See? Price per wear!’, referring to her motto for saving and reusing old clothes.

She mentioned her “cost per wear” motto several times on the show, most recently in April, when she shared that she still has a Gap nightgown she bought 35 years ago that she still wears over her jeans. She then joked with the audience that she paid practically “nothing” for the piece, adding that the “price per wear” is almost so much that Gap is paying for it.

She also re-wore a few specific pieces of clothing, including a midi-length cream pencil skirt, which she assumed was “about 20 years old” and said she “found” in the “closet downstairs.”

“And you know, they buttered my legs and pushed me into it. But I only realized when I sat in the chair — the skirt might not last,” she joked at the time.

Ripa and Mark also talked about what it means for All My Children alum to earn the distinction of “Disney Legends: on the show. Mark remarked that his “eyes watered” watching her speech.

“I know, I looked away from you when you did that,” Ripa recalled. “I said, ‘Okay…’ So the whole time I just looked at Angela Bassett.”

“What did you want me to do?” Mark joked, to which she replied, “I just didn’t want to get emotional with you, so I looked at Angela.”

He then noted that he was at “level three” when it came to the tears in his eyes, noting that it was one of “the ones where they just pool in the lower ring of your eyes.” He added, “I was trying to keep it for you.”

“Your eyes are very big and expressive,” Ripa said. “He looks like, you know that teary eye emoji? That’s what he looks like.”
