After the show, the comedian said: “Obviously unexpected since you saw a gentle gentleman. I’m sorry, but I didn’t think, “Oh look, rock god.” Kenny received praise from judge Simon Cowell, 62, who called him “brilliant”, and judges Alesha Dixon, 43, and Amanda Holden, 51, who voted Kenny through to the next round.
Since Kenny was asked about possibly playing his guitar at the Royal Variety Performance during the audition, it suggests he’s one step closer to being selected.
He told Amanda, a veteran judge, when she asked him if he thought the Queen, 96, would enjoy his line before going on stage: “I think she would love it.”
