Kevin Hart Abruptly Closes All of His Vegan Chain Restaurants: 'Hartfelt Goodbye'

Kevin Hart’s vegan chain has closed all its locations.

According to Eating Los AngelesThe actor’s, 45, restaurant Hart House, which opened in 2022, closed its four locations on September 10, 2024.

“The response to the product has been incredible and we thank our dedicated team, our customers and our community partners for helping us make the change we’ve all been craving, and for their unwavering support of Hart House,” said Hart House CEO Andy Hooper in socket statement.

Eater Los Angeles reports that the chain’s locations have included Los Angeles’ Westchester, Monrovia, University Park and the Hart House flagship at the corner of Hollywood Boulevard and Highland Avenue.

PEOPLE reached out to representatives for Hart and Hart House for comment, but they did not immediately respond.

Earlier this week, the food company announced the closure by posting a photo on Instagram of stacked burgers with the message “Thank you” on top.

“Thank you. 💚To our team, guests and community, who helped make the change we’ve all longed for,” the post caption read. “Hartfelt goodbye for now as we begin a new chapter.”

Hart’s plant-based restaurant first opened on August 25 with the goal of serving affordable food made with quality ingredients.

At the time, they promised that the food would not contain preservatives, artificial colors, hormones, antibiotics, high-fructose corn syrup, trans fats or cholesterol.

“As someone who preached ‘Health is Wealth,’ building the Hart House felt like a natural evolution of my flexitarian lifestyle and my business ecosystem,” Hart said in a statement following the restaurant’s opening.
