Khloé Kardashian Feels Wounded and ‘on My Own’ in Heated Argument with Kris Jenner: ‘You’re Spiraling’

Tensions between Khloé Kardashian and Kris Jenner are reaching an all-time high.

During Thursday’s episode The Kardashiansthe pair got into a heated debate about Kris’ management skills and shortcomings, especially when it came to Khloé’s professional life.

The argument came after Kris, 67, suggested Khloé, 39, start a podcast for her “next chapter” in life. “She’s so funny and so smart and so articulate, and she’s so great with people. And I was like, ‘Wow, I’d love to hear Khloé’s perspective on so many different things,'” Kris said in the confessional.

Khloé responded by reminding her mom that she has to “weigh the risk against the reward,” and used an example involving her stepfather, Caitlyn Jenner, who publicly came out as transgender in 2015.

“Let’s just say I’m talking about Caitlyn and I happen to say ‘Bruce’ for a second,” Khloé said. “I would have known it was an innocent mistake. It wouldn’t have been malicious. That little thing that seems so innocent, I could be destroyed.”

Kris acknowledged her daughter’s feelings about the fear, but urged Khloé to “get over it” by tapping into her confidence instead. Khloé, on the other hand, insisted that she can’t take on new projects because she doesn’t have a management team and would be overwhelmed by her ever-growing list of responsibilities.

“You’re only here until the contract is signed, and then you run away until you want to bring me the next contract,” she told her mom, and later added, “I don’t have a mediator to go to… you have, I have no idea how I can’t sleep , how I can’t do any of the things I’m supposed to be doing because I’m trying to fix bugs.”

“I have no team, no support. Before I take on another project, I have to fix 20 that are so fucked up and I don’t even know how to do it, and you don’t know how to do it, because if you did, it would be fixed by now , and it wasn’t,” she added.

Khloé then revealed her biggest frustration with her mom, saying, “There’s not a lot of follow-through after something is done. And this is me talking to you as my manager.”

In the confessional, Khloé added, “She and I are very similar in that we like to control things and we like to do everything ourselves, and that’s not a fault with her, but there’s no way she can do everything by herself and make everyone feel like are equally taken care of.”

The Good American founder continued to make her point, telling her mom that if she takes on more clients, she has to “meet their multiple needs.” She added: “You don’t give enough to everyone because you physically can’t.”

Kris claimed it was “not fair” and insisted she would “build a team” around Khloé. But Khloé said she “doesn’t believe it” as she’s never seen it happen with any of her previous ventures and claims the lines often blur as Kris juggles being a mother and manager.

“I never feel like there are people looking out for me, I have to do everything by myself in every single category and job I have,” she said, adding in the confessional, “There are problems I had with my manager, not my mom… And when I try to deal with those issues, I get a lot of pushback and it’s always something that a mother would do to place the blame on them, and those lines get really blurred.”

She also noted that she has “no faith” in Kris’ vision for her future podcast, while her mom said, “You’re disappointed in my performance and I feel terrible about that. I want to find what makes you happy. That’s my job.”

As the two went back and forth discussing their different perspectives, Khloé tried to express her feelings until she reached the breaking point and exploded.

“I think you’re missing out on everything [point],” she said. “I’m not going to continue the conversation and I’m not going to talk to those bulls— what are you trying to do. I’ve never heard from each other, we put a band-aid on the bullet hole and she likes to patronize me… it’s all bullshit—. I’m so disconnected from all of this.”

In response, Kris shot back, “You don’t even understand what I’m saying. You’re just somewhere else, spinning.”

As Khloé grew increasingly angry and questioned who really cares about her “wounds,” Kris told her daughter, “Calm down, Khloé. It’s getting into all these other things, it’s not healthy for you, honey.”

In the confessional, Khloé opened up about their conflict in front of the cameras and wondered if “my mom fully understands everything that’s going on in my life.”

“I guess I don’t have a lot of expectations,” she said. “Without expectations, nothing hurts you. I think I’ve had so many expectations for so many years and they’ve always been backfired, so it’s easier to not expect anything and just be grateful for what you get. Maybe it’s a defense mechanism, I have no idea, but that’s what serves me better.”

In her own confessional, Kris said of their feud: “I don’t like to see Khloé upset. I’m very solution-oriented, so when I let someone down or disappoint someone… I want to fix it and I want to find a way to make Khloé happy.”

During their conversation, Kris finally talked some sense into Khloé, telling her not to do the podcast if it’s not “in your heart.” She added, “I want you to do something that’s in your heart.”

In the episode’s final moment, Khloé simply stated, “I don’t have a lot on my heart, in general, these days.”
