Kim Kardashian Guides ‘Hysterical’ Emma Roberts as Her Dreams Become Nightmares in ‘AHS: Delicate’ Trailer

Emma Roberts is living a nightmare in the upcoming season American Horror Story: Delicate.

The twelfth season is based on the new novel by Danielle Valentine Sensitive condition. The thriller follows Anna Alcott, who is convinced that a “sinister figure” has “worked hard” to never give birth, according to the book’s description on Amazon.

In the new trailer for the FX series’ 12th season, Roberts’ character Anna’s dream of stardom comes true, but she still yearns to be a mother. Siobhan Walsh, played by Kim Kardashian, tells her: “You’re an A-list star now. Focus on the good.”

Anna’s husband (Matt Czurchy) tells her that “this will all pay off when we meet our perfect baby.” However, she quickly becomes worried about the woman lurking in the shadows, whom she believes is following her. But her husband tries to calm her nerves by saying, “You’re on a lot of medicine. You have a lot on your mind.”

Siobhan, meanwhile, warns her, “You have an unusual tendency to turn dreams into nightmares.”

After finding out she is pregnant, she dreams of herself lifting the baby above her head in a grassy meadow. However, her journey to motherhood is anything but smooth as a nurse, played by Cara Delevingne, sees something alarming during an ultrasound.

Siobhan presses her: “Do you want an Oscar? Do you want it as much as the baby?” while another person says, “I don’t understand the urge to create an unnecessary child that feeds on your body.”

Anna continues to worry that “something is happening” to her when a voice says, “Pain is the foundation of growth.”

Anna’s dream suddenly becomes a nightmare as she screams in a grassy field with a bloody dress. Her husband then tells her to “stop hysterical”, but she insists that she needs him to believe her.

Kim Kardashian joined the new season of ‘American Horror Story’ with Emma Roberts

Season 12 news AHS first appeared in April. At the time, Roberts shared a teaser on Instagram and wrote, “This summer… Kim and I are DELICATE #ahs #ahs12 @kimkardashian @ryanmurphyproductions 🕷️ 🤍 #delicate.”

Kardashian also shared the image with her creepy caption: “👀🩸”

While FX declined to provide additional details about Kardashian’s role on the series to PEOPLE while confirming the casting news, series co-creator Ryan Murphy shared his excitement about the reality star joining AHS universe.

“Kim is among the biggest and brightest television stars in the world and we’re thrilled to welcome her to AHS family,” the 57-year-old Murphy shared in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter.

Billie Lourd, Denis O’Hare, Leslie Grossman and Michaela Jaé Rodriguez also star in the upcoming sequel.

Part 1 of American Horror Story: Delicate premieres September 20 on FX and can be streamed on Hulu the following day.
