Kim Kardashian Responds to Serena Williams’ Racquet-Holding Comment: ‘I Would Love Lessons from the G.O.A.T.’

Kim Kardashian is open to tennis lessons from Serena Williams!

In the new video interview “Actually I” with GQThe 43-year-old SKIMS mogul went undercover and responded to comments on Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, Wikipedia, YouTube and Reddit — including comments from his famous friends.

In the video, GQ shared a screenshot of Kardashian’s September Instagram post that featured photos taken on the tennis court.

Williams commented on the model’s post, joking: “Literally not how you hold the racket. Clearly I have to give you lessons lol 😍😍.”

Kardashian responded to the 23-time Grand Slam winner, 42, in GQ video, clarifying that she was not playing tennis in the post. She just “walked” around the field.

“First of all, I walked the other way. Is there a special way you have to hold the racquet just to walk from side to side?” Kardashian said. “I was over the moon at that point, too.”

The model then called her friend to give her the watches. “But I’m waiting, I’d love lessons from the GOAT,” Kardashian said.

In Kardashian’s original series of photos, she appeared to be focused solely on her swimwear style as she posed in a pink Chanel bikini with a bubblegum logo.

One picture shows the mum-of-four awkwardly holding her tennis racket to the side, while another sees her reaching the racket skyward for an overhead shot. She captioned the photo carousel with a tennis ball emoji and a pink heart.

Williams and Kardashian met more than 20 years ago and hit it off immediately when Kardashian got a job organizing celebrity closets, including those in Williams’ home. They have remained friends ever since.

In 2017, Kardashian was on hand when the tennis legend and husband Alexis Ohanian tied the knot in New Orleans. Williams and Ohanian have two daughters – Olympia, 6, and Adira River, 3 months.

Williams is already turning Olympia into a tiny force on the court, signaling that she has become an expert instructor to those close to her.

In July, Williams shared a throwback video of a lesson she gave Olympia when she was just 3 years old, using the same techniques her father (and coach) Richard Williams taught her as a little girl.

While Olympia seems to have inherited her mom’s tennis talent, the 6-year-old isn’t as big a fan of the game as the rest of her family. During an appearance on CBS News’ Person to Person with Norah O’Donnell in March, Williams lamented that Olympia “doesn’t really like playing tennis very much.”

“It’s a little disappointing for me, but she’s actually really good at it,” Williams said. “So we’re trying to figure out a way to get her to play a little bit.”
