Kim Kardashian did large fashion statement this week.

The reality star, 43, was spotted with a major fashion accessory – the iconic Hermès Birkin bag – in a casual street look. The multi-hyphenate accessory is currently valued at $110,000, according to Jane Finds.

Kardashian’s latest Birkin – the 50cm Haut A Courroies style – is an oversized version of the much-coveted leather handbag. The founder of SKIMS showed a dark gray crocodile look in recent days. First, she paired the gray accessory with a black zip-up hoodie, matching drawstring joggers and a long gray and white fur coat.

For another casual look, the mother of four paired the bag with a light burgundy hooded top and wide leg sweatpants.

Kardashian’s current handbag measures 50cm in total – 19.5cm long, 10.5cm wide and 16.5cm high. The gray bag exceeds the typical size of the Birkin bag, which traditionally comes in 25cm, 30cm, 35cm and 40cm sizes.

Birkin, named after British actress Jane Birkin, is one of the most expensive bags on the market, with models costing between $10,000 and $2 million.

While Kardashian’s current Birkin comes with a price tag of $110,000, the most expensive Hermès Birkin was the Sac Bijou Birkin from the Haute Bijouterie collection, which is priced at around $2 million, according to Sotheby’s.

The Kardashians the star is not the only woman in her family who carries a chic bag. In 2019, Kylie Jenner shared her mother Kris Jenner’s Snapchat closet and revealed that the matriarch has a Birkin collection of more than 20 bags, with styles including red, black, white, blue, plus crocodile-embossed finishes and more.
