Kourtney Kardashian Says She and Travis Weren’t ‘Trying’ When She Got Pregnant on Valentine’s Day: ‘Miracle’

Kourtney Kardashian Barker and Travis Barker got the best Valentine’s Day gift.

In the latest episode The Kardashians, the expecting couple revealed. The pregnancy came as a surprise to founder Lemme, 44, and Blink-182 drummer, 48, after they decided to take a break from a grueling IVF cycle.

“So much love, so much prayer has gone into this, and I just couldn’t be happier for this blessing,” Kris Jenner, 68, said in the confessional.

“It happened on Valentine’s Day,” Kourtney said of conceiving her little one. “I mean, people would always tell us, ‘When you stop trying, it just happens.'”

“We stopped IVF probably two months before our wedding and so it took a year to get all those hormones and chemicals out of my system,” she continued.

“We didn’t try anything. I didn’t even check my ovulation anymore. We decided to put it in God’s hands and we thought it just wasn’t happening. We accepted it and then…God’s plan.”

Later, Kourtney said that “it really feels like a miracle that I can be pregnant and have a baby with the love of my life.”

The drummer is also the father of son Landon (20), daughter Alabama (17) and stepdaughter Atiana De La Hoya (24) with ex-wife Shanna Moakler. Kardashian Barker has sons Reign Aston, 8, and Mason Dash, 13, and Penelope, 11, with ex Scott Disick.

In an interview with Vogue for their November issue, the Lemme founder said she “felt really pressured and forced into IVF. It went against my intuition and I didn’t feel fully prepared for the mental or physical toll it took.”

She told the newspaper that for her and Barker’s wedding in 2022, they decided to pause in vitro fertilization (IVF), a process she documented on the family’s TV show.

“We just got pregnant naturally,” Kardashian Barker revealed. “It was an indescribable feeling. Shock, then super happiness, fear, worry, but then I remembered that I have gratitude.”

Elsewhere in the same interview, Kardashian Barker addressed the emergency fetal surgery she underwent in September. “That experience opened my eyes to a whole new world of pregnancy that I didn’t know about in the past,” she said.

“It was scary. And I found out that insurance usually only covers two ultrasounds when you’re pregnant, I had no idea,” she continued. “I’ve always been lucky enough to do more than what insurance covers, and it was one of those ultrasounds that saved my baby’s life.”
