Kourtney Kardashian says she contracted COVID from husband Travis Barker — right before the baby was born — on Thursday’s Season 5 premiere The Kardashians.
After returning home from a European tour with Blink-182, Kourtney, 45, says Travis, 48, took a COVID test that came back negative. Then, “kissing for six hours.”
Then Kourtney remarked that Travis was “hot.” Like, his head is very warm. ”
“It’s not the type of heating to settle. Very warm,” explains Kourtney, saying he took a second test for COVID and it came back positive. (He later shared a photo of his positive COVID test on Instagram.)

After he tested positive, Kourtney stayed in the guest room. However, “those first six hours of hanging out, I got COVID,” Kourtney says
FaceTimes her mother Kris Jenner while she was in the middle of throwing a vintage Disney Land-themed baby shower in her backyard for Kourtney, who welcomed son Rocky Thirteen in November.
“I want to cry,” Kris, 68, tells party organizer Mindy Weiss. “You did such a beautiful job. And it just hits me. I’m like, ‘Are you kidding me?’

Kris wanted to hug Weiss, but says she’s going to “stay away” and get tested for COVID because she spent time with Kourtney.
“Travis has COVID. I’m shaking. I just want Kourtney to be okay. She’s a high-risk pregnancy,” says Kris. “I don’t know why I’m emotional. I just want her to be okay. I’m a little worried.”
According to the Mayo Clinic, “pregnancy is a factor that increases the risk of severe disease from COVID-19. That risk remains higher for at least a month after giving birth.”
Kourtney and Travis arrive to see the shower set up before the guests arrive — but as she discovers, there’s an area set up away from the guests where she and Travis decide to stay at the party, socially distanced from everyone.

“You’re almost like a Disney character,” Travis tells Kourtney. “Just sit here and wave.”
“I feel like we’re the king and queen of … COVID,” Kourtney jokes in her confessional.
As Kourtney shared on Instagram, both she and Travis sometimes wore masks.

“The baby shower of my dreams ✨,” Kourtney captioned the event on her Instagram, thanking “mom @krisjenner for turning your home into the happiest place on earth, instilling in me a love for all things Disney, and throwing this baby shower to make me celebrate your thirteenth grandchild too”.
She also posted photos of her cuddling with Travis in a photo booth in the shower.
The COVID diagnosis comes after another health scare for Kourtney, who has three children — Reign, 9, Penelope, 11, and Mason, 15 — with ex Scott Disick.
On September 6, she and Travis revealed that Kourtney had been rushed to the hospital for emergency fetal surgery,
“I flew home for our baby’s life-threatening emergency surgery which is so thankful it went well,” Travis posted on X (formerly Twitter).

And as Kourtney wrote on Instagram, “I am eternally grateful to my husband who rushed to my side from tour to be with me in the hospital and take care of me afterward, my rock. And to my mom, thank you for holding my hand through this,” she continued.
“As someone who has had three really easy pregnancies in the past, I was not prepared for the fear of emergency fetal surgery. I don’t think anyone who hasn’t been through a similar situation can understand that feeling of fear,” she shared. “I have a whole new understanding and respect for moms who had to fight for their babies while they were pregnant.”
She concluded: “Praise be to God. Leaving the hospital with my little son in my tummy and safe was a real blessing. 🙏🏼🤍.”
