PEOPLE confirmed the news of the couple’s pregnancy back in June. A month earlier, Brianna had hinted on Instagram that she was ready for a child of her own, sharing a video of her spending time with a close friend’s son. “Baby fever is real 👶🏽 🤒,” Brianne captioned the post.

In the meantime, Dubai Bling entered the Top 10 on Netflix in the United States this week. The reality series, which premieres in 2022, follows ten ultra-wealthy socialites in the high society of the Golden City, “where lavish parties, stunning skylines and eye-popping fashion are the norm.” Season 2 was dropped on December 13.

The series touched on Kris and Brianna’s desire to expand their family, which caused complications when Brianna was diagnosed with Graves’ disease — an immune system disorder that, according to the Mayo Clinic, “results in overproduction of thyroid hormones (hyperthyroidism).”

“After I marry Kris, I would love to have a little boy … but I also have an autoimmune disease … which is hypothyroid, so my hormones are all over the place,” Brianna said on the show, adding that one of the two medications she was on has a condition that prevented her from having children for about a year.

But last November, the brand’s head revealed in a video posted to her TikTok that she had “stopped all medication” and was “hopefully” able to try for a baby soon.

“All my levels are completely normal,” Brianna said, noting that she made drastic changes to her diet, including cutting out gluten and cutting out red meat, coffee and other foods. “As of now, I’m off all medication, but the disease can come back at any time. I get blood work done about once a month to make sure everything is clear, but I continue to eat pretty healthy and take all my vitamins.”

“I hope to be able to try for a baby soon – and yes, I want a boy,” she added. “I’ll try to get a boy.”

Brianna’s dreams certainly came true, although even she was shocked when she found out she was having a boy.

“I was so sure it was a girl,” she admitted to her husband after the couple learned the happy news, according to a video of the moment they shared on Instagram on Tuesday. “I wanted a boy. I was wrong!”

Kris admitted that he also wants a boy. “The baby is fine, that’s the most important thing,” Breanne remarked. “He or she is healthy, that’s all that matters.”

That video is just one of the key moments of the pregnancy journey that Kris and Brianna shared with their followers on social media. They used the platform to document the process, from shots from the maternity ward to photos of baby Kruz’s nursery to images showing the evolution of Brianna’s growing baby bump,

And while they’ve been together for over a month with their new son, it might not be long before he becomes a big brother himself.
