Krispy Kreme Adds a Dr Pepper-Flavored Doughnut to the Menu — Plus 2 More Treats to Kick Off Football Season

Krispy Kreme is ready for football season – and all the sodas that come with it.

With the return of the NFL and college football just weeks away, Krispy Kreme has teamed up with Dr Pepper to launch the Krispy Kreme x Dr Pepper Kickoff Collection, featuring three new treats.

Available with the entire batch starting August 23rd, the Dr Pepper Kickoff Donut is a classic glazed donut topped with Dr Pepper flavored glaze. Reminiscent of a carbonated drink, it is topped with burgundy spots and the Dr Pepper white chocolate logo.

The new Buttercreme Goals Donut is just as colorful. With a glazed donut base, it is dipped in green glaze. Covered in rainbow flecks, it’s topped with a buttercream-flavored yellow post.

The collection is rounded off by a cream-filled soccer donut, which, in addition to being decorated like a soccer ball, is filled with white cream and dipped in chocolate glaze.

While the sports collection will be available in-store and for pickup and delivery, customers can also pick up half a dozen boxes at select retailers.

The new collection arrives a month after the bakery chain celebrated 87 years in business.

On July 12, customers could buy a dozen glazed donuts for just 87 cents. The low price honors 87 years in business since founder Vernon Rudolph first began selling donuts in grocery stores in 1937.
