Kylie Jenner Asks Plane to Turn Around Minutes Before Takeoff Due to Anxiety

Kylie Jenner’s anxiety forced her to pull out of a family trip at the last minute.

In the new episode the kardashians, Kylie joins sisters Khloé Kardashian and Kim Kardashian — who are in the midst of a feud — as well as Kendall Jenner and mom Kris Jenner, on a private jet en route to the mountain resort of Aspen, Colorado. Meanwhile, Kourtney Kardashian Barker stayed with her son Rocky, born in November.

At the start, Kylie, 26, says in her confessional: “I’m very excited. I wanted to go to Aspen this year. I try to snowboard at least once a year. And I just feel blessed to be in the company of family.”

However, once everyone is on the plane, the pilot announces that they are running late due to weather and poor visibility — a delay that leaves them sitting and scrolling through their phones for 48 minutes.

When the pilot says he can fly to Grand Junction — a three-hour drive from Aspen — Kylie says, “I don’t think it’s safe. I don’t like driving in the snow.”

Kylie says there have been “three accidents” involving people she knows who have been driving in the snow. But as she speaks, Kendall and Kim’s expressions turn sour.

“Kylie’s anxiety comes through and I completely understand,” says Kris, 68.

“I’m here, I’m ready, I’m packed, I’m ready to go,” Kylie says, but insists “I’m not going to Grand Junction.”

About half an hour later, the pilot says, “I think I’d better fly to Grand Junction, see what the weather is like,” sharing that he can check the weather forecast while en route.

As he speaks, Kylie sits stone-faced.

“Are you sure we can land in Grand Junction?” Kris asks.

“Oh, 100 percent,” he replies, prompting Kris to say, “Well, let’s go then.”

In another confessional, Kylie insists, “I’m really good with flying…I haven’t been in the past.”

And while Kylie adds, “I’m doing a lot better,” she says, “I’m very worried.”

On the plane, Kylie tells her sisters, “I’ve had a really bad feeling for the last two days.”

“Why would you say that?” her sisters tell her off.

“I couldn’t even sleep last night,” she continues, as an exasperated Kendall, 26, tells her, “The fact that you even put it out into space is one of the weirdest things.”

Meanwhile, Khloé, 40, watches their interaction with her arms crossed.

“You shouldn’t speak it into existence,” Kendall continues.

In her confessional, Kylie says, “I’m not comfortable right now.” The mom to son Aire, 2, and daughter Stormi, 6, who she shares with Travis Scott, says, “I’m thinking about my kids .”

And while she admits that “maybe I’m being dramatic,” Kylie adds, “I feel like something’s not sure.”

On the plane, the sisters all share expressions of disbelief as an increasingly distraught Kylie tells Kris, “I just had a bad feeling the last two days. I don’t like the sequence of events. I feel like I have to go. I think I’ll go down.”

When the plane takes off, Khloé says someone needs to tell the pilot to turn the plane around so Kylie can get off.

“The minute Kylie says, ‘Turn the plane around, I want to get off,’ I know she means it,” Kris explains. “I know that the anxiety is huge and I don’t think that she will change her mind because now she is really worried”.

As Kris informs the flight team that they need to turn around to let Kylie go, she repeats, “I’m just really worried.”

But in the confessional, Kendall says: “I’ve known Kylie since the day she was born. And I’m not discrediting her panic. I don’t know why it does that. But it’s also part of the pattern for her. She’s done it many, many, many times.”

As Kylie hugs Kris and leaves the plane, Kendall’s voice continues.

“I think she just thinks she can get away with it.”

And when Kylie gets off the plane and heads home, Kim shares her thoughts on the encounter.

“It’s always like this. It’s always like this,” says Kim, 43.

Kendall agrees, saying, “The fact that she always gets away with this shit is really annoying.”

Kris was more measured in her response, saying: “I know other girls are frustrated, but that’s one of my babies. Of course I will understand and I will not be angry with her. I don’t want her to feel anxious.”

Kris calls Kylie to encourage her to come back, asking Kendall to talk to her.

However, Kendall throws her hands up saying, “It’s my fault.”

Khloé answers, saying, “Why don’t you just hang up. She’s not doing well. And let’s move on.”

The conversation turns to the girls deciding to share the contents of Kylie’s luggage, with Khloé calling out, “I hope you brought some sweet s—t!”
